South Sudan: Situation Report #65 on Cholera in South Sudan as at 23:59 Hours, 25 August 2015

Situation Update

Today, seven new cholera cases have been reported in Juba County. As of 26 August 2015, a total of 1,659 cholera cases including 46 deaths (CFR 2.77%) have been reported in South Sudan. In Juba County, a total of 1529 including 45 deaths (CFR 2.98%) from seven Payams (Table 1). In Bor, 130 cases including one death (CFR 0.77%) have been reported from Malou in Makuach Payam and other areas within the County. Table 1 and Figure 1

Data are based on official information reported by MOH. The numbers may be subject to revision and change due to retrospective reporting. In this regard, 3 cases from Gurei ORP (2) on 22 August and Lologo ORP (1) on 24 August 2015 not recorded have been added.
