UNICEF Response highlights in 2015
• 850,000 people have access to health services and essential medicines in affected areas; a national measles campaign is scheduled for November.
• 10,025 children under five suffering from severe acute malnutrition received therapy with a recovery rate of 87%.
• Over 200,000 people have access to safe drinking water and more than 150,000 displaced people have access to latrines in the sites.
• Over 1,500 children recruited by armed groups have been released and nearly 129,000 children received psychosocial care.
• Near 27,000 highly vulnerable families in remote areas received essential items such as soap, jerry cans and blankets through the Rapid Response Mechanism.
• More than 36,903 displaced children have benefited from activities in temporary learning spaces.
