Overview
Since January 2015 the new ERF has allocated US$ 12.8 million to eighteen projects across various sectors. Of the allocated amount, about US$8.5 million was allocated through 2 calls for proposals in January and July. The first call was on life-saving winter response interventions and the second was on shelter and WASH response on Aleppo collective shelters. In addition, six projects worth US$4.37 million have been funded on rolling basis 2015. A further seven projects worth US$3.6 million (3 Health, 3 WASH, and 1 Food) are currently under review. A majority of approved projects include components aiming to address needs in hard to reach areas and efforts are being made to increase the number of NGOs that benefit from the fund in line with the Syria ERF's commitment to allocate 50% of the funds to NGOs by end of 2015.
