South Sudan: Situation Report #79 on Cholera in South Sudan As at 23:59 Hours, 8 September 2015

Situation Update

Today, four new cholera cases have been reported in Juba County from Kator (2), Northern Bari (1) and Muniki (1) payams in Juba County (Figure 1).

As of 08 September 2015, a total of 1,735 cholera cases including 46 deaths (CFR 2.65%) have been reported in Juba and Bor Counties. In Juba County, a total of 1597 including 45 deaths (CFR 2.82%) have been reported from seven Payams. In Bor, 138 cases including one death (CFR 0.72 %) have been reported from Malou in Makuach Payam and other areas within the County. One cholera case from Bor not recorded on 7 September 2015 has been added to the total. (Figures 1 and 2, Table 1).
