Highlights
DROUGHT: 144 municipalities in Cuba are hit by drought and approximately 100,000 people are severely affected. In El Salvador forecasts indicate that river levels will remain historically low in the coming months. In Honduras, where more than 250,000 people are in need of immediate humanitarian assistance, the government and humanitarian partners released the Preliminary Response Plan for drought.
COLD WEATHER: A severe cold wave has resulted in 1,209 people homeless, 487,569 affected and 8 deaths in Peru.
HUMANITARIAN SITUATION: About 1,482 Colombians have been deported or repatriated from Venezuela, since the beginning of the border crises, while an additional 19,952 have fled spontaneously.
