HIGHLIGHTS
According to the latest available statistics from IOM and the Djibouti government, 24,748 persons of mixed nationalities have arrived in Djibouti as of 10 September (since 26 March). Of those, 11,815 persons (48%) are Yemeni nationals, 11,073 (45%) are transiting Third Country Nationals and 1,860 persons (7%) are Djiboutian returnees.
As of 12 September, UNHCR and ONARS (the government refugee agency) registered 2,828 refugees, thereof 2,669 Yemeni nationals (since 31 March). According to the provisional statistics, 2,072 refugees, thereof 2,023 Yemeni nationals, are registered in Obock and are mainly hosted at the Markazi camp.
The training of trainers for the construction of Refugee Housing Units took place in Markazi camp on 2 and 3 September. Al Rahma NGO which provides three meals a day to refugees in Markazi camp confirmed its decision to withdraw its food assistance as of 15 September.
