On 20 September, 342 Ethiopian migrants were evacuated by boat from Al Hudaydah (Yemen) to Obock (Djibouti). To date, IOM has evacuated 2,257 people by sea from Yemen to Djibouti.
Since April 2015, 28,341 conflict-affected populations in Abyan, Aden, Al Dhale’e, Al Hudaydah, Hajjah, Sana’a, and Shabwah have benefitted from IOM’s health assistance activities including emergency health care, primary health care, mental health and psychosocial support, health promotion, and management of acute malnutrition.
There are 362 Ethiopian migrants (including 55 women and 50 unaccompanied minors) accommodated at the Migrant Response Center in Obock. IOM partnered with UNFPA for the provision of dignity kits for women, and with WFP for food distribution.
