South Sudan: Situation Report #88 on Cholera in South Sudan as at 23:59 Hours, 5 - 11 October 2015

Situation Update

During week 41 of 2015 (05 - 11 Oct 2015), on 8 October 2015, one RDT positive cholera case was reported from Gurei ORP in Juba County.

As of 11 October 2015, a total of 1,815 cholera cases including 47 deaths (CFR= 2.59%) have been reported from Juba and Kajo-keji (Central Equatoria State) and Bor (Jonglei State) counties. A total of 1,619 cases including 45 deaths (CFR= 2.78%) have been reported from seven payams in Juba county; 57 cases including one death (CFR 1.75%) from four payams in Kajo Keji County and 139 cases including one death (0.72%) from Makuach Payam in Bor county (Table 1, Figures 2 and 2.1).
