Highlights
One million people have evacuated primarily across Regions I, II and III two weeks after Typhoon Koppu made landfall in the Philippines.
Many are staying with relatives and friends or in the open nearby their damaged homes.Prolonged displacement due to persistent flooding, combined with low immunization coverage in several of the affected regions, raises the risk of water-borne and communicable disease outbreaks.
The Philippines Humanitarian Country Team is planning targeted and coordinated assistance in health, agriculture and emergency shelter in consultation with line departments.
