Highlights
- Completeness for weekly reporting was 55% for the non-conflict affected states and 89% for the IDP sites. Malaria was the commonest cause of morbidity in both non-conflict affected states (50%) and IDP sites (38%).
- Malaria epidemics reported from three states (Warrap, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, and Western Bahr el Ghazal states) and two IDP sites (Bentiu PoC and Malakal PoC)
- Twenty three (23) new measles cases reported from Wau county (1), UN House PoC (6), Bentiu PoC (9), and Mangatain IDP (7).
- No report of new laboratory culture confirmed cholera cases countrywide since 5 October 2015.
- Seventy eight (78) new HEV cases reported from Bentiu PoC (75) and Mingkaman (3).
- Global acute malnutrition stands at 34.1% in Bentiu PoC and 18.1% Malakal PoC.
- The U5MR was 0.893 deaths per 10,000 per day in Bentiu PoC and 0.038 deaths per 10,000 per day in the non-conflict affected states, which are both below the U5MR emergency threshold of 2 deaths per 10,000 per day.
