Situation Overview and access constraints
A preliminary assessment released by the Population Movement Taskforce estimates that currently 5,974 families are displaced in Yemen. The most affected governorate is the island of Socotra, with over 3,100 displaced families.
In response to the Cyclones, the Logistics Cluster is facilitating cargo transport:
By air: two airlifts to Socotra Island. One airlift on behalf of WHO (46 m3) from Djibouti and one on behalf of IOM (173 m3).
By road: 31 humanitarian trucks in Sana’a and Aden, with a total of 296 mt of NFIs. As of 18 November, 27 trucks reached Shabwa, Mukalla and Mahara, on behalf of UNHCR, IOM, UNHCR and WHO.
By sea: One vessel from Djibouti to Aden for WHO, with 18 mt of medical supplies.
