The county had a fair to poor pasture and browse condition. This was shown by the vegetation condition index (VCI)-3 month in the county for October 2015 was 18 which was a decrease from 24 of September 2015, this is normal

Socio Economic Indicators (Impact Indicators)
October 2015, livestock migration pattern was minimal and within the normal grazing routes to wet grazing areas.
The livestock body condition was good to fair (5) during the month was between value 5- 9 of normal range.

Current Drought Risk
Drought risk was expected to be high however October – December season rains were expected in October and November 2015. This would increase long term impact in the current drought situation. Drought risk would increase with a possible late Alert and early Alarm scenario developing in the course of wet season (Early November 2015).
