Highlights

  • WASH Cluster has provided 68,650 people, (UNICEF contribution 46,324 people), with sufficient water of appropriate quality for drinking, cooking and maintaining personal hygiene

  • WASH Cluster has reached 69,474 people with sanitation and hygiene supplies (UNICEF contribution 38,585 people), and 76,024 people with hygiene and promotion (UNICEF contribution of over 70,000 people) - exceeding the target of 70,000

  • 17,688 early childhood and primary school children have received learning materials and school supplies in three provinces

  • Less than 50 per cent of early childhood care and education centres have reopened in Tafea

  • 1,121 pre-school children have returned to school on Tanna island, using tents provided with UNICEF support

  • 4,133 children and youths aged under 17 provided with birth registration documentation

  • 4,366 mothers of children aged under 24 months reached with basic infant and young child feeding messages and counselling in Sanma and Tafea provinces

  • 341 children aged under 5 have received micro nutrient powders
