Serbia’s and fYR Macedonia’s Ombudspersons Saša Janković and Idžet Memeti visited the Serbia-Macedonia border on 7 December and announced that they would request from their respective governments better reception conditions for refugees and migrants on both sides of the border, in hoping to bring about a bilateral agreement on a transport arrangement that would bypass the 4.5 km of mud road that refugees need to cross on foot in order to reach the refugee aid point (RAP) in Miratovac.
With the peaks of arrivals from Bulgaria on 1 and 2 December (422 and 478 respectively), the participants of the Refugee Protection Working Group Meeting held in Belgrade on 3 December reiterated the need to form a SubWorking Group on the Eastern/Bulgarian border.
