Highlights

• Completeness for weekly reporting was 41% for the non-conflict affected states and 54% for the IDP sites.

• Fifteen new suspect measles cases were reported from Tambura (3), Juba (3), Mayom (5), Adoc (2) and Bentiu PoC (2) in the reporting week.

• One new suspect meningitis case involving a 6 year old male from Nhialdu was treated in Bentiu PoC.

Special focus on malaria

• Malaria remains the major cause of morbidity in both non-conflict affected states (37%) and IDP sites (27%) (Fig. 1a, 1b).

• Malaria incidence in the non-conflict-affected states and IDP sites appears to have returned to pre-epidemic levels.

• In the week, seven malaria deaths were reported from Bentiu PoC (1), Juba (1), Wulu (1), Rumbek Center (4) (Tables 5, 6).
