Highlights

• Completeness for weekly reporting was 41% for the nonconflict affected states and 80% for the IDP sites.

• 18 new suspect measles cases were reported.

• 10 samples tested measles IgM positive in the National Laboratory.

• Three suspect meningitis case reported from Torit.

Special focus on malaria

• Malaria remains the major cause of morbidity in both nonconflict affected states (38%) and IDP sites (27%)

• This week malaria incidence in Warrap, Western Bar el Ghazel and Bentiu PoC were above the expected levels.

• In the week, eight malaria deaths were reported from Juba (4),
Bentiu PoC (3), and Yirol East (1)
