STATISTICS AND HIGHLIGHTS
1,117 refugees/migrants arrived: 1,079 from fYRo Macedonia and 38 from Bulgaria.
Approximately 400 departed to Croatia.
Two migrants returned to Morocco thanks to IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) programme.
At the Sid train station around 30 refugees/migrants, who had been deported from Croatia two days ago, blocked tracks and train traffic in protest about their situation. UNHCR, IOM and SCRM counselled them on asylum procedures in Serbia and/or AVR.
A 46 years old Syrian man passed away in Sid after an epilepsy attack. IDC doctors administered first aid but he died before the ambulance arrived. UNHCR and authorities are assisting his family, including with funeral arrangements.
