Highlights
In March 2016, WFP continued to assist 2.4 million vulnerable Malawians and 35,000 refugees/asylum seekers with lifesaving food assistance.
As the harvest nears, WFP is progressively shifting its focus to recovery and investment in the productive period in preparedness for another challenging 2016/17 lean season.
WFP continues efforts to break the cycle of hunger through social protection support such as school feeding, nutrition support and resilience building interventions.
