South Sudan: Cholera in Juba, Central Equatoria State, Republic of South Sudan - Situation Report # 8 as at 23:59 Hours, 29 June 2015

Situation Update

• As of 29 June 2015, a total of 430 cholera cases including 28 deaths (CFR 6.5%) have been reported from 73 villages in eight payams of Juba County (Table 1).

• The initial cases were traced back to 18 May 2015 in UN House PoC where the first cholera case was confirmed on 1 June 2015. Most of the cholera cases in Juba have Gumbo, Juba 3 PoC, Gudele 2, Gudele 1 and Munuki (Figure 4). Table 1. Summary of cholera cases reported in Juba County, 18 May – 29 June 2015
