• The six months cumulative rainfall (Dec 2014 – May 2015) was 573.4 mm. This was 66.9% more of the long term average. The cumulative long term average for the same period was 343.6 mm.

• The water situation in the county was described as normal.

Production Indicators

• No livestock out migration was reported in May.

• Cattle body condition was fair while that of goats and sheep was good.

• Milk production was 3.4 litres per day per household while consumption was 1.8 litres per day per household

Access Indicators

• The terms of trade was 66 kg of maize per goat.

• Milk consumption was 1.8 litres per day per household.

Utilization Indicators

• Percentage of under-five at risk of malnutrition was 7.44
