Health

• The top morbidities at the three clinics were malaria (2,245) and Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (845). An increase in acute watery diarrhea was reported during the week, this will be monitored by IOM to identify the source.

• Routine vaccination is ongoing, with 242 children provided with vaccinations during the last 7 days.

• Over the last 7 days, there were 25 assisted deliveries at the Cathedral and SSRC sites, with 46 individuals provided with prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV counselling and testing services.

• 914 individuals were provided with health promotion messages at the three clinics, including prevention of diarrhea and hand washing, cholera, malaria and good health seeking behavior.

Psychosocial support (PSS): 15,496 individuals were provided with PSS messages through 357 household visits; 95 individuals were provided with grief counselling and referrals for protection or other medical services. IOM provided Psychological First Aid (PFA) training to 28 individuals during the week; participants were trained on PFA principles including how to communicate with individuals in distress and how to identify unaccompanied minors

CCCM

• Camp management continues to work with UNMISS, community leaders and protection partners to decongest the site: two areas have been identified for shelters for high priority IDPs while planning to decongest the market area is ongoing.

• To mitigate against protection concerns camp management in coordination with UNMISS, is planning to install lighting along the camp perimeter and near latrines.

WASH

• 18 water points with 106 taps are functional at the site, 1 additional water point was installed at the Medair clinic during the week.

• IOM is training water quality monitors who are residents of the PoC, on water monitoring sampling and testing procedures.

• A total of 12 boreholes have been repaired in Wau South, with 9 hygiene promotion activities conducted in the same areas.

S-NFI

• During the past 7 days 3 communal shelters were constructed in the UNMISS PoC.

• 865 plastic sheets were distributed in the UNMISS PoC and a further 408 plastic sheets distributed at the Lokoloko collective center.

• Ongoing congestion issues in the PoC site and the lack of space is preventing IOM shelter teams from constructing more communal shelters. The S-NFI cluster is working with camp management to identify space for communal shelters if needed
