I. SITUATION OVERVIEW

- Southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over the regions of !locos Sur, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Western Visayas and the Province of Palawan. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
II. EFFECTS
A. AFFECTED POPULATION (TAB A)
A total of 2,850 families / 10,556 persons. Of which, 15 families / 101 persons are still inside one (1) evacuation center in Basco, Batanes.
B. STATUS OF LIFELINES
- Power a. Batanes incurred 60% damaged in power facilities which is targeted to be restored in 30 days by DOE, NEA and local power utilities. b. Municipalities of Mahatao and Ivana incurred 10% damaged and is expected to be restored after a week. c. Sabtang municipality incurred 40% damaged and is targeted to be restored in two weeks time. d. ltbayat assessment on power damaged is still ongoing.
- Communication a_ Communication in the Municipalities of Basco, Mahatao, and ltbayat in the Province of Batanes was cut-off since 14 September 2016_ b. The NDRRM Operations Center and OCD II were able to establish communication with the MDRRMO Uyugan, Batanes through mobile phone on 14 September 2016_ Communication lines using Globe and Smart Telecommunications in the Municipality of Uyugan, Batanes is restored as of 18 September 2016
- Water: There is a limited water supply in the Province of Batanes. Relief supplies from NDRRMG included drinking/bottled water to complement the need.
