CCCM

• No relocations have taken place since 13 September when protests broke out at the transit site promoted by the camp chairman. Further violence erupted on 14 September when UNMISS clashed with IDPs.

• UNMISS, Camp Management, Shelter and Protection agencies from Tongping and UN House met with the camp leadership on 16 September to address concerns regarding the unregistered caseload that arrived after the headcount in August, and conditions and service availability at UN House.

• Agencies and camp leadership agreed on 16 September that the most vulnerable individuals and families of the unregistered caseload of 270 people would be identified and verified by UNHCR and only included for registration and relocation if eligible. Over the weekend, the unregistered caseload reported by the camp leadership increased to approximately 700 people.

• 76 people have registered for relocation since registration re-opened on 19 September. Relocation will restart on 21 September.

Protection

• Ongoing outreach is taking place to identify unregistered people with specific needs (PSN) that may be eligible for registration and relocation.

• 48 vulnerable women moved from UN House PoC 3 to Tongping and are now stranded and requesting to return. Nonviolent Peaceforce is verifying their cases and IOM will arrange transport.
