Situation Update
As of 8 August 2015, a total of 1,500 cholera cases including 42 deaths (CFR 2.8%) have been reported in Juba and Bor Counties in Central Equatoria and Jonglei States respectively. In Juba County, 1,374 cases including 41 deaths (CFR 2.98%) have been reported from seven Payams (Table 1). In Bor, 126 cases including one death (CFR 0.79%) have been reported from Malou in Makuach Payam and other areas within the County.
The most affected Payams in Juba County are Kator, Rejaf, Northern Bari, and Munuki that have registered attack rates (cases per 10,000) of 240, 213, 149, and 25 respectively (Annex 1). In Bor, Makuach Payam is the most affected and has registered an attack rate (cases per 10,000) of 32 (Annex 1 and 2).
