South Sudan: Situation Report #68 on Cholera in South Sudan as at 23:59 Hours, 28 August 2015

Situation Update

Today, one new cholera case has been reported in Juba County. As of 28 August 2015, a total of 1,675 cholera cases including 46 deaths (CFR 2.2.75%) have been reported in South Sudan. In Juba County, a total of 1539 including 45 deaths (CFR 2.92%) from seven Payams (Table 1). In Bor, 136 cases including one death (CFR 0.74%) have been reported from Malou in Makuach Payam and other areas within the County.
Data are based on official information reported by MOH. The numbers may be subject to revision and change due to retrospective reporting. Hence, six cases not recorded from Bor have been added.
