I. SITUATION OVERVIEW
Typhoon "LANDO" with International Name "KOPPU" has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the afternoon of 14 October 2015.
At 4:00 PM, Typhoon "LANDO" was located at 230 km East of Baler, Aurora with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecasted to move West at 10 kph. Public Storm Warning Signal (PSWS) No. 4 is raised in the Province of Aurora; PSWS No. 3 is raised in Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Ifugao, and Northern Quezon including Polillo Islands; PSWS No_ 2 in Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of Islands, Benguet, Mt. Province, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, llocos Norte, llocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, rest of Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Metro Manila; and, PSWS No 1 is hoisted in Batanes, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Lubang Island, northern Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Catanduanes.
Stormy weather is expected over Metro Manila, llocos region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Central Luzon and the provinces of Camarines Norte, Rizal and Quezon including Polillo Islands. Rains with gusty winds will prevail over the rest of CALABARZON and of Bicol region and the Province of Marinduque, northern part of Mindoro including Lubang Island. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will be experienced over Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and the rest of Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Visa yes and the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest over Mindanao with moderate to rough seas.
