Rainfall received has seen a decline over the last one month.
The rainfall received so far is within normal range.
Major water sources for the county during the month were traditional wells, shallow wells, pans and dams ,natural rivers ,springs and boreholes, accounting for 46%, 16%, 14%, 11% , 8% and 5% respectively which is normal around this time.
Socio Economic Indicators (Impact Indicators)
There were cases of in-migration of livestock from the neighbouring Kajiado County into the ranching zones of Mukaa, areas bordering Chyulu national reserve in Kibwezi East and Kibwezi West.
Livestock body condition was fair to good for both goats and cattle.
Currently the drought risk is low hence capacity building of the communities should be encouraged at this time.
