This weekly report is produced by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as part of the UNCMT response to the influx of Burundian and Congolese refugees from Burundi. The report covers the period from 23 to 29 May 2016. The next report will be issued on 06 June 2016.
Highlights - 497 (277 males and 220 females) new arrivals were transported from Buhigwe, Kasulu, and Kibondo districts during the reported period. - 82 Congolese were among the new arrivals and were transported to Nyarugusu camp. This brings the total number of Congolese new arrivals since the beginning of May to 243. - The relocation activities were put on hold due to on-going work in Mtendeli camp. The exercise is expected to resume in two weeks.
