Significant Events
a. Balochistan
(1) Breach in Lehri Nadi, District Sibi, Balochistan. On 7 August 2016, following damages were reported due to a breach in Lehri Nadi, Tehsil Lehri, District Sibi, Balochistan:-
(a) 200 houses of 8 x villages namely Khairwah Qubad Baghdar, Shaheq Manjri Muradwah, Umar Baghdar, Juma Khan Gazaini Muradwah, Meherdil Beghdar, Abdul Rahim Singhani, Syed Khan and Nabi Bakhsh Dinari were fully affected.
(b) 500 x People of above villages were evacuated to safe location by district administration.
(c) 2 x Girls drowned in flood water and bodies recovered.
(d) 150 x Tents, Blankets, Mosquito Nets each and 5.4 tons of food items were provided.
(2) Flash Flood in District Khuzdar, Balochistan. On 7 August 2016, following damages were reported due to a flash flood in District Khuzdar:-
(a) Kangori Dam was partially while Garato Dam was severely damaged in Tehsil Saroona, District Khudzar, Balochistan.
(b) 26 houses partially while 3 houses were completely damaged in Kili Ayub, Tehsil Nall, District Khuzdar. No loss of life was reported since the population was evacuated to safe place by district administration.
b. Losses in District Kotli, AJ&K. 4 x Deaths and 1 x Injured was reported due to heavy rains in District Kotli, AJ&K.
