Situation Update
The cholera outbreak remains confined to three counties, Juba, Terekeka, and Duk with active transmission currently limited to Juba county. Cumulatively 42 (45%) of the samples tested positive for Vibrio Cholerae in the National Public Health Laboratory as of 14 th Aug 2016. Juba county in Jubek state has recorded 1051 cholera cases including 10 deaths (CFR 0.95 %). A total of 36 new cholera cases were reported on 14 th August 2016 (Table 1.1 and Figure 1). The most affected locations in Jubek include Gorom, Khor William, Juba Na Bari, Giada, Lologo, Gumbo, and UN House (Fig. 1.1 and 1.2). Overall, cholera transmission has stabilized over the last two weeks
