CCCM
• Camp management is coordinating with communities to identify and demarcate contingency space for services and space for communal shelters for new arrivals. The site remains significantly congested.
• Site development activities conducted during the week include: drainage cleaning; excavation offloading of soil to establish the berm and perimeter; fencing of waste water drainage points; and digging of latrine pits.
• DTM: While IDPs continue to arrive at the UNMISS PoC each week the number is declining, with insecurity cited as the primary reason for arrival. This week more exits than entries were recorded at the Cathedral site, IDPs cite living conditions and health as the primary reason for leaving.
HEALTH
• The top morbidities at the three clinics were malaria (2,312) and Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (901).
• The vaccination campaign continues, with 517 routine vaccinations for children, 58 routine EPI for pregnant women, 215 routine EPI for non-pregnant women and 36 IPV provided during the week. Adequate supplies continue to be received from the State Ministry of Health.
• 100 mothers were provided with long-lasting insecticide treated nets, with 14 assisted deliveries at the three clinics.
• 13,583 individuals were reached with health promotion activities at the three clinics, 56 household visits were conducted at the Cathedral Site.
• Psychosocial support (PSS): 17,358 individuals were provided with PSS messages in the three locations; 34 individuals were provided with grief counselling, family reunification services and referrals for health services, by PSS officers; 35 cases were referred for medical services at the three sites; and 1 unaccompanied minor was referred to appropriate follow-up.
S-NFI
• 12 communal shelters in the UNMISS PoC were constructed during the week, with capacity to provide shelter for 500 people.
• The lack of space at the Cathedral PoC is limiting capacity to construct new shelters; the S-NFI cluster is coordinating with partners to find a solution to site congestion.
WASH
• 17 water points with 1,032 taps functional at the site.
• Regular monitoring of the Kenbatt shallow well is ongoing, the average draw-down is 43cm during peak hours (9-11am and 2-3pm) with full recovery by the next morning.
• 3 boreholes were repaired in Wau South, with 3 hygiene promotion activities conducted in the same areas.
