Highlights

• Completeness for weekly reporting was 48% for the non-conflict affected states and 98% for the IDP sites.

• Malaria is the top cause of morbidity in IDPs and nonconflict affected areas.

• Malaria cases in Bentiu PoC and Malakal PoC exceeded expected levels in the week.

• Four suspect cholera cases were reported from Gondokoro Island (2 cases) and Kator (Hai Tokyo [1 case] and Lologo [1 case]).

• There were no new suspect hemorrhagic fever case reported from Aweil.

• TB/HIV/AIDS and malaria were the leading causes of mortality in IDPs

Special focus on measles

• 32 new suspect measles cases were reported from Bentiu PoC (1), Mayom (1), Tonj South (17), Awerial (1), Yirol West (4), Aweil North (2), Tambura (1), and Gogrial West (5) (Table 4.1).

• No new confirmed measles outbreaks.

• Measles outbreak response including surveillance, case management, and enhanced routine vaccination are ongoing in all the other affected counties.
