The county received off season showers averaging to 56.5 mm which was mainly experienced in agro pastoral zone.
Slightly improved was noted in rangeland vegetation cover across all livelihood zones compared to last month as a result of cumulative effects of showers received since onset of long rains.
Recharge for both ground and surface water sources in agro pastoral improved as a result of the on-going off season showers but declining most parts of pastoral zone.

Livestock from Samburu Central and some from Samburu North are within the wet season grazing areas. However livestock in Samburu East migrated to dry season grazing zone.
Production and consumption of milk declined due to migration in Samburu East
Few deaths have been reported attributed to diseases and predation but none as a result of drought.
Body condition of both browser and grazer was good to fair
A sale a goat was exchanged for 51 kg of cereals as indicated by the TOT.
Prevalence of sampled children under five at risk of malnutrition worsened with percentage increasing to 23.4% from 16.7 % recorded the previous month.
